Sun^TM Cluster software delivers mainframe-class availability and scalability for e-commerce, ERP, data warehousing and other business and mission-critical applications and services.

Through hardware and software failure detection and recovery, Sun Cluster software protects against single-point of failure.

And it includes Sun Cluster framework along with an application programming interface (API). The API can be used to create high availability (HA) agents for mission-critical applications, then integrate the agents into the Sun Cluster framework.
