Java IDL 1.1

JavaTM IDL (Interface Definition Language), Sun's 100% Pure Java Object Request Broker (ORB) system, provides the software foundation necessary to deliver enterprise client-server applications for the Internet.

Applications that use Java IDL seamlessly integrate with non-Java programs and programs from other vendors. The Java IDL systems are based on the latest CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) and IIOP (Internet Inter-ORB Protocol) industry standards.

Requirements for Java IDL

Platform/OS -- SPARC or x86 running Solaris 2.6

Java -- JDK 1.0.2 or higher

Browser -- HotJava 1.0 or higher, or Netscape Navigator 3.0
