About AdminSuite
SolsticeTM AdminSuiteTM software is a unified suite of tools for administering distributed systems. The tools provide for the management of:
- User accounts
- Hosts
- Groups
- Administrative data
- Printers
- File systems
- Disks
- Serial ports
About AutoClient
Solstice AutoClientTM provides a centralized administration model using name services to reduce costs. By centralizing system configuration information, Solstice AutoClient eliminates the need for client backups, installations, and software management on the desktop.
Requirements for AdminSuite
Operating System
Solstice AdminSuite supports administration of the following Solaris
operating environments:
- Solaris 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 2.5.1, or 2.6 for SPARCTM
platforms
- Solaris 2.4 or 2.5 for x86 platforms
Solstice AdminSuite 2.3 is co-packaged with the Solaris Operating System
Application and Enterprise servers. Solstice AdminSuite is also available for
Solaris 2.3, 2.4, 2.5 and 2.6 server customers for a nominal charge.
