NeoDesk 4 Installation

NeoDesk is a replacement desktop for classic Atari ST/TT/Falcon computers and
emulators. This version was complied and tested on Hatari 2.0.0 in TT
emulation mode: 32 MHz, 8 Mb RAM, TOS 3.06, using a GEMDOS emulated hard disk.

To install it, tell your emulator to use the neodesk.st image in the A: drive.
If you are using actual Atari hardware, you will likely have to burn the disk
image onto a floppy.

If you plan to use NeoDesk with Geneva, it is best to do the NeoDesk
installation first. That way, the Geneva installer will set NeoDesk to launch
automatically using the correct method.

While NeoDesk can be run from the built-in GEM desktop (or even as a desk
accessory), it is more commonly set to run by inclusion in the AUTO folder.

On the NeoDesk disk, run INSTALL.PRG. It will ask you some configuration
questions and then copy the files to the necessary locations, prompting you to
swap floppies if needed.

NeoDesk includes extensive online help, which can be found in the About
NeoDesk dialog by clicking on the "Using NeoDesk" button found there.
