Hi... I just realised that the version of STufIT! I gave Paul to hatch has
a few essential bits of information missing... like, how to use Email...
and what the SEQUENCE file is ... so here's the extra bit. It is easier to
send it out like this than rehatch the whole archive inside a week just
because there's about 40 lines of text missing :-)) ...

really sorry .. <pratt-type-red-faced-look>

==============================================================
The missing doc ::: or "How do I actually use STufIT! Email??"
==============================================================

(Sorry about leaving these instructions out... <ahem>..)

The sysop (possibly you) will set up a point address for all STufIT! mail
and
news to go to.. something like 90:103/107.1 .. the sysop of this address
will be
set up to be 'UUCP' , or something similar.

* IMPORTANT: The program will look for a file called SEQUENCE. This file
should
* be created by the sysop and should (initially) contain the number '1'.
* This number will be incremented each time the program exports an Email
and is
* just a way of ensuring that no two mails have the same batch Id.
* (I really must get round to having STufIT! create this file <g> )

In order to send Emails you must address the message as follows:

To: UUCP at 90:103/107.1
Subject: A normal subject line
 ----------------------------<Message body follows>-------------
 To: My.Friend@somesite.somewhere.uk
 Cc: Abba@foreign.com spcaple@gn.apc.org

Hi there... this is an InterNet Email... I can even use PGP in it :-)

 BFN, me.

 ------------------------------<end of message>-----------------

You DO NOT type the lines with '---< nnn >-----' in them, they are just to
show
where the actual message text lies.
As you can see, the FIRST LINE of the message text _must_ be a 'To:' line,
otherwise STufIT! can't turn it into an Email!
The 'Cc:' line allows you to send mutiple copies of the same text to
   different people.

I hope this clears things up a little :-)

The sysop must ensure that the mail/news are exported UNCOMPRESSED, or none
of
this will work <grin>

Any more questions... send me some money first!

Ste\/e..
