                 Visual Numerics Customer Support
             Email/FAX Query and Bug/Enhancement Report

Procedures for submitting queries and bug/enhancement reports

Email and FAX queries will be logged as they arrive and researched
by Visual Numerics Customer Support on a first-come basis. When
your query is received, it will be forwarded to an engineer and an
acknowledgement sent if the form was sent via Email. You will be
contacted within two working days with either a solution, a
request for additional information, or an update on the status of
    your query.

If the nature of your problem does not lend itself to investigation
without person-to-person communication, we will contact you via
Email or FAX and request that you call Customer Support.

If your problem requires a faster turnaround than provided by
this service, please call Customer Support directly at
    (303) 530-5200.

If you have found a bug with a VNI product, or wish to suggest an
enhancement for a future release, please complete the form and
use "Bug" or "Enhancement" as the general category. We will
acknowledge the receipt of the report and forward it to the
    engineering department.

Completing the form

    Customer Information Required

You must provide your license number (or PVI Site ID) to
verify maintenance. If you are using PV-WAVE Command Language,
PV-WAVE Advantage or PV-WAVE Point & Click, you can type the
following to display your license number (formerly known as a
	PVI Site ID).

(Note: LICENSE_DIR must be defined by running wvsetup or
        wvptsetup):

        Under UNIX: $LICENSE_DIR/bin/show_vni_site_id

        Under VMS: @LICENSE_DIR:[BIN]SHOW_VNI_SITE_ID

	Under Windows NT:	%vni_dir%\license\show_vni_site_id

If no license number is displayed, see your system manager or
find your Software Notification Form to identify your License
	Number.

    Problem Description

For the problem category, enter one of the following general
        categories:

Functionality - Problems with using the product.
Documentation - Problems with written or online documentation.
Installation - Problems with installing the software.
License Manager - Problems with softkeys and the License Manager.
Bug - A possible bug with the product.
Enhancement - A desired enhancement to the product.

For PV-WAVE Command Language and Point & Click, please also
include a more specific category from the title of any
online-help screen. In particular, the "Functional Summary of
Routines" in Command Language and "Help Table of Contents" in
Point & Click contain categories which should apply to most
problems. This will help us to quickly route your inquiry to the
        appropriate engineer.

Please describe your problem in detail, with an emphasis on
either the steps which can be used to reproduce the problem, or a
SIMPLE code example which demonstrates the problem.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND AN ENTIRE WAVE APPLICATION.

If you are unsure of what is required to investigate your
problem, please call Customer Support at (303) 530-5200 and speak
with an engineer who will suggest what would be most useful to
        send.
