This article describes how to change the dictionary or thesaurus in
Microsoft Works.
 
MORE INFORMATION
================
 
To change the current dictionary or thesaurus in Microsoft Works version
3.x for the Macintosh, follow these steps in a Word Processor document:
 
1. Press and hold down the OPTION key.
 
2. From the Document menu, choose either Spelling or Thesaurus.
 
3. When you are prompted "Please Locate Speller Dictionary" or "Please
   Locate Thesaurus Dictionary" release the OPTION key.
 
4. Locate the dictionary or thesaurus you want to use and then choose
   Select.
 
The dictionary or thesaurus you select will be used until you select a
different one.
 
The Works 3.x dictionary is installed in the following locations:
 
 - For System 6.x: System Folder/Microsoft Folder/Spelling Folder
 
 - For System 7.x: System Folder/Extensions Folder/Microsoft Folder/
                   Spelling Folder
 
NOTE: There is a different method for changing the dictionary or thesaurus
in Works version 4.0. For more information about changing the dictionary or
thesaurus in Works 4.0, search for "dictionaries" in the Works 4.0 Help
system.
