SYMPTOMS
========

TrueType fonts in a Word for MS-DOS document that is formatted for
landscape orientation print incorrectly on a Hewlett-Packard (HP)
LaserJet Series II if you print the TrueType fonts as downloadable
fonts instead of as graphics. In other words, if you cancel the Print
TrueType As Graphics option in the File Printer Setup dialog box, the
HP LaserJet Series II printer does not print landscape TrueType fonts
correctly.

CAUSE
=====

This problem occurs because the HP LaserJet Series II printer does not
autorotate fonts. This printer requires that you download separate,
landscape fonts to print text in landscape orientation.

WORKAROUND
==========

To print TrueType fonts in landscape orientation on a LaserJet Series II,
you must select the Print TrueType As Graphics option in the File Printer
Setup dialog box.

MORE INFORMATION
================

TrueType font technology relies on Microsoft Windows operating system
version 3.1 to autorotate fonts to print in landscape orientation, so there
are no landscape versions of TrueType fonts.
