 - Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, version 5.1

SYMPTOM
=======

The window position of a previously created Word document will not
correctly update for a new Toolbar position.

For example, you create, save, and close a document with the Toolbar
in the top position. If you then reposition the Toolbar to the left or
right, then when the document is reopened, it will accommodate the new
Toolbar position, but it will also leave a "space" for the old Toolbar
position, above the document window.

CAUSE
=====

Because the document window position is stored with the document, this
behavior is by design.

STATUS
======

This functionality has been added to Word version 6.0 for the Macintosh.

RESOLUTION
==========

To correct the document window position, double-click the title bar to
resize the document window. To preserve the new document window
position, save the document before closing it.
