SYMPTOMS
========

Opaque objects that overlap a graphic may print to a Hewlett-Packard
(HP) LaserJet 4 as transparent. This occurs when the following
conditions exist:

 - The background image is large (for example, a 3.5 MB .PCX
   image).
 - The HP LaserJet 4 is in raster mode, at 600 dpi.
 - You are using version 31.V1.18 of the HP LaserJet 4 driver.

If all three of these conditions exist, opaque objects will print as
transparent. This is due to a problem with the printer driver.

RESOLUTION
==========

To avoid this problem, print with the driver in HP/GL2 mode.
