According to Canon's technical support, the Canon BJ-10e's DIP switch
settings should all be in the down position for the printer to be in
its default (native) mode.
 
MORE INFORMATION
================
 
DIP switch number one has to be in the up position for cut-sheet paper
printing.
 
Placing the last DIP switch to the "up" position will set the printer
to the IBM Proprinter emulation mode.
