SYMPTOMS
========

Any SDLC device driver that exports an eight-character device driver
name does not work with the SNA Server IBM X.25 Link Service.

RESOLUTION
==========

The SYSTEM\IBMX25.DLL module has been updated and is available on the
MSSNA forum on CompuServe.

To install the updated module on the SNA Server machine, do the
following:

1. From a command prompt, type the following and press ENTER:

      NET STOP SNABASE

   This stops all SNA Server processes on the machine (and forces off
   all current SNA Server users if entered at the server).

2. Copy the patched modules to the <SNAroot>\SYSTEM and
   <SNARoot>\SYSTEM\HWSETUP\IBMX25 directories.

3. Restart the machine by typing the following and pressing ENTER:

      NET START SNABASE
