The information in this article applies to:

 - Microsoft Access versions 1.0 and 1.1
---------------------------------------------------------------------

SYMPTOMS
========

Graphs modified in Microsoft Graph so that they will display dashed value
lines will print with solid lines when you are using the HP LaserJet IIISi
version 2.1 printer driver that uses the universal printer driver
UNIDRV.DLL version 3.1.2.

CAUSE
=====

The problem is due to an interaction between Microsoft Access, the HP
LaserJet version 2.x printer drivers (which were written by Microsoft), and
the UNIDRV.DLL printer driver. The version 3.x printer drivers written by
Hewlett-Packard do not use the UNIDRV.DLL driver and do not exhibit this
problem.

RESOLUTION
==========

You can obtain the latest version of the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet printer
drivers from the Hewlett-Packard forum on CompuServe (type GO HPPER), or
contact Hewlett-Packard at (303) 353-7650.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access versions
1.0 and 1.1. This problem no longer occurs in Microsoft Access version 2.0.
