SYMPTOMS
========

A graphic pasted from Word into Microsoft Excel is surrounded by a single
line border.

CAUSE
=====

By default, Microsoft Excel applies an automatic border around a pasted
graphic. When you copy an existing graphic from Word or a graphic created
using Word's Copy As Picture command (COMMAND+OPTION+D), a single line
border will display around the pasted graphic.

RESOLUTION
==========

To remove the border from the graphic:

1. In Microsoft Excel, click once on the graphic to select it.

2. From the Format menu, choose Patterns.

3. Under Border, select None. Choose OK.
