SYMPTOMS
=========

In Microsoft Project for Windows, the toolbar, buttons, and Microsoft
Project-controlled dialog boxes may not automatically reflect color changes
you make in Windows Control Panel.

CAUSE
======

When Microsoft Project is running, if you use Windows Control Panel to
change the color of any screen element, Microsoft Project will not
automatically reflect these changes in the toolbar, buttons, or in any
Microsoft Project-generated dialog boxes. These colors are not
automatically updated because Microsoft Project does not redraw the screen
to reflect these changes.

NOTE: The new colors WILL be immediately visible in Windows System-drawn
screen elements, such as scroll bars and common dialog boxes.

RESOLUTION
===========

To display the toolbar, buttons, and Microsoft Project-generated dialog
boxes in the new colors, close and restart Microsoft Project.

MORE INFORMATION
================

The color of the toolbar and buttons in Microsoft Project are controlled by
the screen elements for Button Face, Button Text, Button Shadow, and Button
Highlight in the Color setting in Control Panel.
