SUMMARY
=======

A new ODBC driver ships with Microsoft Access version 2.0 and will
be installed only with Microsoft Access version 2.0.

MORE INFORMATION
================

The Microsoft Access 2.0 driver for Microsoft Office that allows Microsoft
Word version 6.0 for Windows and Microsoft Excel version 5.0 to use
Microsoft Access version 2.0 data ships with Microsoft Access version 2.0.
This ODBC driver works only with Word and Microsoft Excel, and will not
work with Visual C++.

This driver will automatically be installed if you have already installed
the version 1.x driver with Word or Microsoft Excel, or if you have Office
Professional version 4.3.

When you install this driver, Setup creates a data source for Word. To use
the query tool with Microsoft Excel, you must set up your own data source.

While the new ODBC driver will allow you to access both version 1.x and
2.0 databases, you will probably want to use the version 1.x driver for
accessing 1.x databases because you will not be able to use the new
features in the 2.0 driver with 1.x databases.
