MORE INFORMATION
================

If you copy information from Microsoft Word 6.0 or 6.0a to Microsoft
Project 3.0 or 3.0a, the Paste Link command will be unavailable. You can
manually create a Paste Link, however, by doing the following:

For this example, assume the Microsoft Word document is named TEST.DOC and
is located in the WINWORD directory of the C drive (C:\WINWORD\TEST.DOC).
Also assume the information from Microsoft Word is being paste linked into
a task Name field with task Unique ID 1.

1. In Microsoft Word, highlight the text you wish to copy.
2. From the Edit menu, select Bookmark.
3. Type a name such as "DDELink" (without quotation marks) and choose the
Add button.
4. In Microsoft Project, select the cell(s) where you want the information
linked.

Note: The task(s) must already exist.

5. From the File menu, select Links.
6. From the Link Type drop-down list, select DDE Links.
7. Choose the New button.
8. In the From field, type "WINWORD|C:\WINWORD\TEST.DOC!DDELink" (without
quotation marks).
9. In the To field, type "T(1,Name)" (without quotation marks).
10. Choose OK.

For more information about creating DDE links, refer to the Microsoft
Project file DDEINFO.WRI.
