SUMMARY
=======

This article describes the SQL Pass-Through dynamic-link library (DLL) file
available on the Microsoft Software Library. This file provides SQL pass-
through support for Microsoft Access.

MORE INFORMATION
================

The SQL Pass-Through DLL provides additional SQL support to that provided
by Microsoft Access linked tables. While linked tables cover a wide range
of requirements for transparent access to remote data, including binding
Microsoft Access form, report, and query objects directly to remote tables
and views, and performing remote joins, linked tables do not support such
functionality as returning stored procedures, remote DDL, and back-end
specific SQL commands.

The SPT.DLL file gives the Access Basic programmer access to these
capabilities.

You can download SPT100.EXE as a self-extracting file from the Microsoft
