SYMPTOMS
========
 
In the Microsoft Font Assistant, when you close the Font Sample area,
the Font Assistant window no longer appears on the screen.
 
CAUSE
=====
 
If you move the Font Assistant window to the far-left side on your screen
so that only the Font Sample area is displayed, and you then close the Font
Sample area by pressing CTRL+F, this behavior occurs.
 
WORKAROUND
==========
 
To display the Font Assistant window again, do either of the following:
 
 - Open the Font Sample area again with the following steps:
 
   1. Press CTRL+ESC to run the Task List.
 
   2. From the Task List, select Microsoft Font Assistant and choose Switch
      To.
 
   3. Press CTRL+F to display the Font Sample area. Move the Font Assistant
      window to the desired location on the screen. If the Font Assistant
      window is still not visible, use the following workaround.
 
   -or-
 
 - Delete the Font Assistant initialization file as follows:
 
   1. Exit the Microsoft Font Assistant by using the Task Manager
      (CTRL+ESC) or by exiting Microsoft Windows.
 
   2. Delete the FAST.INI file from your Windows program directory.
 
   3. Start the Microsoft Font Assistant again. The Microsoft Font
      Assistant window opens in the default location, near the center of
      the screen.
