SUMMARY
=======
 
In Microsoft Project, when you use the Paste Link command to link data from
another application, the dynamic data exchange (DDE) link information is
stored in a list in the Links dialog box (to see this list, choose Links
from the File menu). If you delete a link from the middle of this list, its
position in the list will be used by the next item you link to the project.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior
---------------------------
 
 1. Start Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel
 
 2. In Microsoft Excel, create a new worksheet with six rows of data.
 
 3. Select the first row of data in the Microsoft Excel sheet, and choose
    Copy.
 
 4. Switch to Microsoft Project, select the Name field for ID 1, and choose
    Paste Link from the Edit menu.
 
 5. Repeat steps 2-4 until five of the six rows in the Microsoft Excel
    worksheet are copied to Microsoft Project.
 
 6. In Microsoft Project, choose Links from the File menu.
 
 7. Select DDE Links.
 
 Note the order that the links appear in.
 
 8. Select the third item in the list, and choose Delete
 
 9. Choose Close.
 
10. In Microsoft Excel, copy the data in the sixth row, and, in Microsoft
    Project, choose Paste Link.
 
11. In Microsoft Project, choose Links from the File menu, and select DDE
    Links.
 
Note that, instead of being placed at the end of the list, the new item is
inserted in the list where number three was.
