 - Microsoft PowerPoint for Windows, versions 4.0, 4.0a, 4.0c

SYMPTOMS
========

A presentation being viewed in the PowerPoint 4.0 Viewer will act
differently than the same presentation being viewed in either
PowerPoint 4.0 or in the PowerPoint 3.0 viewer.

Steps to Reproduce Problem
--------------------------

 1. Open PowerPoint and create a blank presentation.

 2. Create a presentation consisting of three slides, each containing a
bulleted list. (The number of slides does not matter; this is an
    example.)

 3. Save the presentation (for demonstration purposes name it 1.PPT).

 4. Create two more presentations like the one above, naming them 2.PPT
    and 3.PPT.

 5. Create a list file calling each presentation. Name the list file
    123.LST. To create 123.LST:

    a. Open a text editor such as Notepad.
    b. Type the following text and press ENTER after each line:

          1.PPT
          2.PPT
          3.PPT

    c. Save the file as 123.LST (be sure to save it to the same
       directory as 1.PPT, 2.PPT, and 3.PPT).

 6. Start PowerPoint version 3.0 or 4.0.

 7. From the file menu, choose Open. In the File Open dialog box,
switch to the directory that contains 123.LST and its associated
.PPT files. Type the following in the Filename text box:

       123.LST

 8. Choose OK.

 9. 1.PPT will start as an on-screen slide show. Press 999 and then
press ENTER to move to the last slide. The last slide will display
    correctly.

10. Press ESC to exit the slide show.

11. Exit or minimize PowerPoint, and start the PowerPoint 4.0
    viewer.

12. Switch to the directory that contains 123.LST. In the Filename box
    type

       123.LST

    and choose Show.

13. If you press 999 and then press ENTER in the PowerPoint 4.0 viewer,
the slide does not show all of its objects. In the example above,
    the bullets do not display.

RESOLUTION
==========

The only way to see the last slide in its entirety by jumping to the
end of the presentation is to move back to the previous slide and
then move ahead to the last slide.
