SYMPTOMS
========
 
If the Currency Symbol is deleted, Microsoft Project will automatically put
the default symbol back in.
 
CAUSE
=====
 
If you do not specify a symbol in the Currency Symbol box in the
Preferences dialog box (from the Options menu, choose Preferences), Project
will automatically apply the default currency symbol.
 
WORKAROUND
==========
 
If you do not want a currency symbol to appear, enter a space (press the
SPACEBAR) to specify a character in the Currency Symbol box.
 
STATUS
======
 
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article. This problem has been corrected in
later versions of Microsoft Project for Windows.
