PASIBF.OID and PASIBF.TMP in XENIX Pascal

Product Version(s): 3.30 3.31
Operating System: XENIX
Flags: ENDUSER |
Last Modified: 4-OCT-1988 ArticleIdent: Q11592

Problem:

When I use the cl driver with the -c option as follows, the files
PASIBF.OID and PASIBF.TMP are left in the current working directory:

cl -c dummy.c

These are the intermediate files from PAS2 to PAS3 so that an object
file listing can be made.

Although I have not asked for an object files listing, cl still
creates them.

Response:

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Versions 3.30 and 3.31.

To work around this problem, delete your temporary files.
