SYMPTOMS
========
 
After you install the Hayes Ultra 14400 modem on a computer running
Windows 95, the default data terminal equipment (DTE) rate is changed to
19200.
 
CAUSE
=====
 
Although the Hayes Ultra 14400 modem has a default DTE rate of 57600, it
has been determined that unreliable data transfer may occur at speeds
greater than 19200. Therefore, Windows 95 sets the default DTE to 19200.
