SYMPTOMS
========

When you use the PANAX44.PRD printer driver with TrueType support added,
you cannot scroll through the entire font list in the Format Character Font
list with your cursor keys. Word skips the last three or four fonts.

CAUSE
=====

MergePRD strips out part of the font names when it adds TrueType font
support. PANAX44.PRD has two linedraw fonts from different cartridges in
which the cartridge names are enclosed in square brackets ( [] ). MergePRD
strips out the brackets from the font name, causing the printer driver to
include two identical font names.

WORKAROUND
==========

Method 1: Use your mouse on the scroll bar of the Format Character Font
          list to get all the fonts.

Method 2: Type the font name in the Font name field in the Format Character
          dialog box.

Method 3: Use the Ribbon to select the font you want. This problem does not
          occur when you scroll through the font list on the ribbon.

Method 4: Modify the font name for one of the Linedraw fonts so that the
          font names become unique. For example, change one of the Linedraw
          fonts to Linedraw1. You can do this by following these steps:

          a. Use MakePRD (MAKEPRD.EXE) to convert PANAX44.PRD to a text
             file.

           b. Open the text file you created with MakePRD.

           c. From the Edit menu, choose Search.

          d. In the Text To Search For field, enter "FontName:LineDraw"
             (without the quotation marks) and press ENTER.

          e. Change "FontName:LineDraw" to "FontName:LineDraw1".

          f. Save and close this file.

          g. Use MakePRD to convert this modified text file back to a .PRD
             file.
