SYMPTOMS
========

If your Macintosh monitor is set to Thousands or Millions of colors,
you may not be able to open some files in Works. You may receive an
error message indicating that there is insufficient memory to open the
file.

This problem occurs with files that contain large gradient-filled
objects that were created when using a monitor set to 256 colors.
Works may have insufficient memory to display the gradient-filled
object in thousands or millions of colors.

RESOLUTION
==========

To work around this problem, reduce the bit depth to 256 colors in the
Monitors control panel. You should now be able to open the file.
