MACRO Formula updating prob

Problem:
Create a macro to copy the first column across the spreadsheet
for a number of columns and insert a portion of a row in the
middle of the first two columns. the formula will display
"#REF!" as the formula is modified.

If you manually copy the cells right and attempt the same opera-
tion starting in a column other than C1, the formulas are not
updated accordingly. If you copy a cell containing a formula into
any other cells, the destination cells will be "linked" to the
original in the following manner: If you modify the original
formula, all cells that were copied from that formula will be
updated, even though they are totally unaffected by the change
in theory. Likewise, if you perform some operation that would
be expected to update a formula in a cell that was copied from
somewhere else, it will not update.

The only way to get the copied cells to behave properly seems to
be to select each in turn, choose the EDIT command and press
return without making a change. This appears to force Multiplan
to generate a new entry in the formula list for that cell.

Response:
This problem has been forwarded to our Multiplan development
staff for resolution.
