SYMPTOMS
========

If you are running a network installation of Works 4.0, you may
receive an "Access Denied" error message when you try to start either
the Presentation Wizard or the Newsletter Wizard. If you choose OK,
the Wizard should continue to run and you should be able to create and
edit the presentation or newsletter normally.

The "Access Denied" error message appears if another user on the
network has already started the wizard you are trying to use.

This problem occurs because the Presentation Wizard and Newsletter Wizard
both use tips files. When someone runs one of these wizards, its tips file
is opened. When the wizard on your workstation attempts to open a tips file
that has already been opened by another user, the "Access Denied" error
message appears.

RESOLUTION
==========

To prevent this problem from occurring, the network administrator can
change the tips files to stationary files. This allows more than
one user to open the file at the same time. However, users will be
prompted to save changes when Works closes the file.
