 - Microsoft Windows NT operating system version 3.1
 - Microsoft Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1

SUMMARY
=======

Windows NT 3.1 includes the client versions of RCP, REXEC, RSH, and TELNET
services. The server versions of these components are available through
third-party vendors. The Connectivity Kit for Windows NT by Software
Innovations Inc. includes server versions of RCP, RSHD, REXECD, RLOGIN,
TELNETD and FINGER services. Please note that these services require at
least one server; they do not work between two Windows NT workstations. For
more information, call Software Innovations Inc. at (800) 946-6688.

MORE INFORMATION
================

The services described above are used to communicate with UNIX systems. A
UNIX system must run what is called a daemon (a daemon is a background
process in UNIX terminology) to respond to client requests. Utilities
corresponding to daemons end with the letter "d". For example, the daemon
utility for TELNET is TELNETD. In order for these utilities to work in
Windows NT, a Windows NT Service (which is similar to a Daemon) is required
to provide server functionality.

The third-party products discussed here are manufactured by Software
Innovations Inc., a vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty,
implied or otherwise, regarding these products' performance or reliability.
