SYMPTOMS
========

When you press the TAB key in a Word Processor document, the cursor moves
to the default tab, rather than to the left indent. This occurs if you set
a hanging indent with the left indent to the right of a default tab.

RESOLUTION
==========

To correct this behavior, place a custom tab at the location of the left
indent.

Placing a Custom Tab
--------------------

1. Move the insertion point to the paragraph in which you want the tab
   stop.

2. On the ruler, click the tab button you want.

3. Click the ruler at the position where you want to insert the tab stop.

MORE INFORMATION
================

A hanging indent allows the first line of a paragraph to be further left
than the rest of the paragraph.

Steps to Reproduce Problem
--------------------------

1. Open a Word Processor document.

2. From the Format menu, choose Tabs And Indents.

3. In the Indents section, choose Hanging.

4. In the By box, enter 0.75.

5. Choose OK.

6. Press the TAB key.

Actual Result: The cursor jumps to the 0.5 inch mark.

Expected Result: The cursor should jump to the 0.75 inch mark.
