SYMPTOMS
========

When you attempt to empty the trash with the Works Calendar file in the
trash can, the following message is displayed:

   The item Works Calendar could not be deleted because it contains items
   that are in use.

RESOLUTION
==========

Restart with the extensions off by choosing restart from the Special
menu and then holding down the SHIFT key while restarting.

-or-

1. From the Tool menu in Works, choose Preferences.

2. Choose Calendar.

3. Choose Change Calendar.

4. Create a new calendar.

MORE INFORMATION
================

Even when Works is not actually running, it maintains a link to the
Calendar file so that it is able to show reminders for appointments.
Because this is done using an extension, the error may be avoided by
restarting with extensions off or by creating a new calendar.
