SYMPTOMS
========

When Graph 5.0 objects are present in a presentation and you change the
slide color scheme, the graph color scheme may not update to the new
color scheme.

RESOLUTIONS
===========

Use the appropriate method:

Method 1
--------

1. Click the Graph object.

2. From the Tools menu, choose Recolor.

3. In the Recolor Graph dialog box, choose Entire Color Scheme. Choose OK.

The Graph's colors will change to match the existing slide color
scheme.

Method 2
--------

The problem may involve one of the program files for Microsoft Graph, or a
related file from PowerPoint. If this is the case, PowerPoint, Graph 5.0,
and their associated files must be removed and reinstalled.

 1. Run PowerPoint Setup.

 2. When the options to Add/Remove, Re-Install, or Remove All appear,
select Remove and follow the instructions to remove both
PowerPoint and, under the Shared Applications, Graph 5.0.

 3. In the Windows File Manager, locate the Windows Directory.

 4. Hold down the CTRL key while clicking the following files:

       DEFAULT.GRA
       POWERPNT.INI
       GRAPH5.INI
       GRAPH5.XLB

 5. When all of these files are highlighted, release the CTRL key,
and press the DEL key on the keyboard to delete the files.

 6. While still in File Manager, double-click the Windows SYSTEM
    subdirectory.

 7. Hold down the CTRL key while clicking the following files:

       OLE2.DLL
       OLE2.REG
       OLE2CONV.DLL
       OLE2DISP.DLL
       OLE2NLS.DLL
       OLE2PROX.DLL
       PUBOLE.DLL
       TYPELIB.DLL
       STDOLE.TLB
       STORAGE.DLL

 8. When all of these files are highlighted, release the CTRL key,
and press the DEL key on the keyboard to delete the files.

 9. Exit File Manager.

10. From the File menu in Program Manager, run PowerPoint Setup.

NOTE: If PowerPoint is part of Microsoft Office, refer to the
appropriate Setup disk for that package while performing the above
    Setup steps 1 and 10.

11. When the options to Add/Remove, Re-Install, or Remove All appear,
select Add/Remove, and follow the instructions to install both
PowerPoint and, under the Shared Applications, Graph 5.0.
