SYMPTOMS
========

A General Protection (GP) fault occurs in CCMAIL.EXE at (or close to)
0002:08DE when you run cc:Mail.

CAUSE
=====

Lotus cc:Mail cannot run if the path contains more than 143 characters.
Use the Path command from a CMD window in Windows NT to view the path. The
path cc:Mail inherits in Windows NT may be longer than the path created in
AUTOEXEC.BAT. Under Windows, cc:Mail exhibits the same behavior.

If the path is exactly 143 characters, cc:Mail runs, but an illegal
path appears in the "P.O. Path:" edit box and cc:Mail causes a GP fault
when you choose the OK button, even if you replace the invalid path.

WORKAROUND
==========

Reduce path length to less than 143 characters.

STATUS
