The information in this article applies to:

 - Microsoft Windows operating system version 3.1
 - Microsoft Publisher, version 2.0

SYMPTOMS
========
When you are using the Canon Color Bubble Jet BJC-600, or BJC 4000 printer
as the Windows default printer and you try to open a document in Microsoft
Publisher 2.0, the following error message is displayed:

   Sharing violation on drive C:

CAUSE
=====
This error occurs when both of the following conditions exist:

 - You created the document you want to open with a driver other than
   the Canon BJC-600 as the Windows default printer.

   -and-

 - At least one other document is already open in Microsoft Publisher.

WORKAROUND
==========
To work around this problem, press the ESC key to close the error message
dialog box. The Microsoft Publisher document opens as usual and no further
problems occur.
