Q. What are the minimum system requirements for Golf version 2.0?

    A. To run Microsoft Golf 2.0, you need the following seven items:

       1. MS-DOS operating system version 3.1 or later

       2. Microsoft Windows version 3.1 or later

       3. Personal computer using a 386sx or higher microprocessor

       4. 256-color Super VGA monitor, display card, and driver

       5. 4 megabyte of RAM

       6. Microsoft Mouse or other compatible pointing device

       7. Sound board (if you want to hear sounds)

Q. Can I use my Golf version 1.0 courses in Golf version 2.0?

    A. Yes. Golf 2.0 includes a converter utility that converts
the low-resolution Golf 1.0 format to the high-resolution
       Golf 2.0 format.

Q. I receive a Growstub error message when I start Golf 2.0. Why?

    A. Receiving the Growstub error message indicates that the Windows
mouse driver needs to be updated. Golf 2.0 requires version 9.1
or later of the mouse driver. To receive the latest mouse driver,
please contact the Microsoft Sales Information Center at (800)
       426-9400.

Q. Why do I get an error message stating "Path not found" when I try
       to install Golf?

    A. This error message occurs when you install a Microsoft Golf
championship course, prior to installing Microsoft Golf 1.0, the
game. Microsoft Golf 1.0, the game, must be installed on the
hard drive before a championship course can be installed.

Q. Why do I receive an error message when I am installing Arcade?

    A. An error message during setup could indicate some type of anti-
virus or memory-resident software loading prior to Setup. Make
sure the computer is booted in as clean a configuration as
possible, and that no Window programs are running during the
setup procedure. For information about clean booting under
Windows 3.1, order the article Q87290 from the Microsoft Home
Products FastTips Catalog. For information about clean booting
under Windows 95, order the article Q128400 or article Q129260.

Q. Can I still use my Scenes version 1.0 collections in Scenes
       version 2.0?

    A. Yes. You can still use your Scenes 1.0 collections. After
installing Scenes 2.0, run the Add A Collection To
Scenes wizard to convert your Scenes 1.0 collections.

Q. Does Scenes 2.0 integrate with After Dark?

    A. Scenes version 2.0 is designed as a stand-alone screen saver.
Scenes 2.0 does not support After Dark integration.

Q. How can I make the Scenes version 2.0 images fill the entire
       screen?

    A. Scenes 2.0 allows the images to be stretched to full-screen
size. Select the Enlarge Pictures To Full Screen Size check
box in the Screen Saver Settings dialog box. The screen saver
images will be stretched to fill the screen. The next wallpaper
image selected will also be stretched to fill the screen.

Q. What picture formats does Scenes version 2.0 read when creating a
       new collection?

    A. Scenes 2.0 reads eight different picture formats. Those formats
include: BMP, DIB, TIFF, PCX, GIF, TGA, PCD, and JPEG.

Q. What is the fastest way for Scenes version 2.0 to show all the
       images in a collection?

    A. Perform the following five steps to quickly view all of the
       images in a collection:

      1. Set the Change Picture Every setting to zero. (You must type
         a 0 in the box).

      2. Turn off the option Change Wallpaper Picture With Screen Saver.

      3. Turn off the option Enlarge Pictures To Full Screen Size.

      4. Select only the collection you want to view in the Collections
         list.
