4. Q. How do I install the new Works 4.0b upgrade?

   A. If you use the Calendar file to keep track of your schedule, make

      steps:

      1. Insert a high-density floppy disk in the floppy drive.

      2. Open the folder containing the Works program. This folder is
         usually called "Microsoft Works 4.0."

      3. Drag the Microsoft Works Calendar file to the disk. A message
will come up indicating the file is being copied.

      4. After Works 4.0b has been successfully installed, copy the
Calendar file from the disk to the folder containing the Works
         program.

      5. A message asks, "An item named 'Microsoft Works Calendar'
already exists in this location. Do you want to replace it with
the one you are moving?" Choose OK.

To remove the earlier version of Works:

SHIFT key while the Macintosh restarts.

also say Extensions Off. At this point you can release
the SHIFT key and wait for the boot process to complete.

If you do not see the Extensions Off message, please repeat the
steps above and make sure the SHIFT key is held down.

To install Works 4.0b, perform the following:

      1. Insert the Works 4.0b Install Disk #1.

      2. Double-click the Microsoft Works Setup icon.

      3. Read the instructions on the screen, and click the OK button.
