SUMMARY
=======
 
When you run Creative Writer or Fine Artist from a Macintosh server,
you may receive an error message similar to the following:
 
   The application program "Creative Writer 1.0"
   could not be opened, because it is in use.
 
CAUSE
=====
 
If the File Sharing settings are set incorrectly, you cannot run
multiple simultaneous sessions of Creative Writer or Fine Artist.
 
RESOLUTION
==========
 
To share the program(s) correctly, do the following:
 
 1. Select the MSKids folder on the server.
 
 2. From the File menu, choose Sharing.
 
 3. Turn on File Sharing if it is not currently on.
 
 4. Choose Share This Item And Its Contents.
 
 5. Select See Folders, See Files, and Make Changes for the
    appropriate users.
 
 6. Choose Make All Currently Enclosed Folders Like This One.
 
 7. Close the Sharing window.
 
 8. Open the MSKids folder, and select the application icon (Creative
    Writer or Fine Artist).
 
 9. From the File menu, choose Get Info.
 
10. Choose Locked. Close the Get Info window.
 
After following these steps, the application(s) should be correctly
shared and locked; multiple users may connect to the server and run the
application(s).
