 - Microsoft PowerPoint for Windows, version 4.0
 - Microsoft Windows NT version 3.5

SYMPTOMS
========

When using PowerPoint 4.0 under Windows NT 3.5, when connected to a Novell
NetWare share using NWLINK, you can save a PowerPoint file if the file does
not already exist. However, if you try to save to an existing file or do a
Save As to the same filename, you will get the following error:

   Sorry, the file or directory is write-protected.

Saving works correctly under Windows NT version 3.1 with the released
version of CSNW with same user rights and directory permissions on the
NetWare server.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.5.
This problem was corrected in Windows NT version 3.51.

WORKAROUND
==========

Save the file to a non-NetWare drive, and then copy over the network or
save the file with a new filename each time.
