SYMPTOMS
========
 
In a Word Processor document in Microsoft Works 4.0 or 4.0a for the
Macintosh, your computer may stop responding (hang) when you use the DELETE
key when the cursor is at the end of a line of text.
 
RESOLUTION
==========
 
To solve this problem, upgrade to Works version 4.0b. Microsoft has
confirmed this to be a problem in Works versions 4.0 and 4.0a. This problem
was corrected in Works version 4.0b.

Support Services at (425) 635-7160.
 
WORKAROUNDS
===========
 
Workaround 1
------------
 
To avoid this problem, delete items using the following method:
 
1. Select the characters you want to remove.
 
2. From the Edit menu, choose Cut.
 
Workaround 2
------------
 
If Works version 3.0 is available, install it and use the Word Processor
module until you obtain Works version 4.0b.
