SYMPTOMS
========
 
When you use Adobe Photoshop-compatible plug-in filters from Kai's
Powertools with Microsoft Works version 4.0 or 4.0a, the computer may stop
responding (hang) when you attempt to choose Paint Effects from the Tools
menu.
 
NOTE: For more information on installing and using plug-in filters with
Works 4.0, please refer to pages 470 and 471 of the Microsoft Works version
4.0 "User's Guide."
 
STATUS
======
 
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Works versions 4.0 and
4.0a. This problem was corrected in Work version 4.0b. You may obtain an
update to Microsoft Works by contacting Microsoft Product Support Services
at 425-635-7160.
