SYMPTOMS
========

If you press the forward slash key (/) on the numeric keypad while you are
in Slides View, nothing will happen. You may or may not hear a beep when
you press this key.

This key works correctly in PowerPoint 3.0.

Pressing the forward slash key in Outline View toggles the font formatting
of the enitre outline, from a single font size and style to the font styles
originally assigned to each line.

Pressing the forward slash key in Slide Sorter View toggles the slide
thumbnails between full color and titles only.

NOTE: Using SHIFT+/ (on the numeric keypad) in PowerPoint 4.0 works as
expected.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article. This problem has been corrected in
Microsoft PowerPoint for Windows 95, version 7.0, and Microsoft PowerPoint
98 Macintosh Edition.

WORKAROUND
==========

To type this character in PowerPoint 4.0, use the forward slash on the main
keyboard (the key that shares the question mark key).
