SYMPTOMS
========
 
When attempting to save a database from a Works 4.0 to a 3.0
format, one of the following two errors will be encountered:
 
   The application unknown has unexpectedly quit because of an
   error of type 1.
 
   -or-
 
   Sorry, a system error occurred. Microsoft Works 4.0, Error
   type 11.
 
RESOLUTION
==========
 
1. From the View menu, choose Forms. Select the form you had previously
   created in Works 4.0.
 
2. From the File menu, choose Save As.
 
3. In the Save As section box, type in the new filename.
 
4. In File Format box, choose Works 3.0.
 
5. Select Save.
 
Your database should now save as a Works 3.0 document without any  further
error messages.
 
MORE INFORMATION
================
 
These errors are caused when a header has been created for a database form
and you try to save the database as a Works 3.0 database from either the
List view or Report View. This does not occur when viewing the form or when
saving the file normally as a Works 4.0 database document.
