SYMPTOMS
========

If you use Automap Road Atlas for MS-DOS with Quarterdeck Expanded Memory
Manager (QEMM), you may receive an error stating that there is not enough
EMS memory available.

RESOLUTION
==========

To make EMS memory available to Road Atlas for MS-DOS, the following
argument will need to be added to the DEVICE=QEMM line in your
CONFIG.SYS file:

   FR=E000

Restart your system after adding the argument and saving the CONFIG.SYS
file. Once the system has restarted, you may want to run the Quarterdeck
Expanded Memory Manager optimization program. For more information, see
your Quarterdeck Expanded Memory Manager documentation.

MORE INFORMATION
================

Adding the FR=E000 statement forces Quarterdeck Expanded Memory Manager to
begin the EMS page frame at E000h, the normal location used by EMS memory
handlers. Road Atlas for MS-DOS looks for the EMS frame to start
specifically at E000h.
