SYMPTOM
=======

In Microsoft Project, when you check spelling for a misspelled field that
is the destination of a pasted link, Microsoft Project will display the
following dialog box:

   Field contains linked data. Okay to remove entire link?

If you choose No, Microsoft Project will cause a general protection (GP)
fault in module WINPROJ.EXE on the Windows platform, or a bus error on the
Macintosh platform. If you choose Yes, the word is replaced and the link is
deleted.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the products listed at the
beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post
more information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it comes
available.
