SYMPTOMS
========
 
When you type in the Word Processor or Spreadsheet module of Works 4.0, two
characters may appear on the screen for every key that is pressed.
 
CAUSE
=====
 
This problem will only occur when Microsoft Works is run after the
AppleCD Player 2.0 is started.
 
RESOLUTION
==========
 
Upgrade your copy of Microsoft Works 4.0 to version 4.0b. You may obtain
the Works 4.0b update by contacting the Microsoft Sales and Information
Center at (800) 426-9400.
 
 -or-
 
Restart your computer, and do not run the AppleCD Audio Player 2.0 before
starting Microsoft Works.
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE PROBLEM
==========================
 
1. Start AppleCD Audio Player 2.0.
 
2. Close AppleCD audio Player 2.0.
 
3. Start Microsoft Works 4.0.
 
4. Create a new Word Processor document.
 
5. Type "This is a test."
 
After completing step 5, "TThhiiss iiss aa tteesstt" displays.
 
STATUS
======
 
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Works version 4.0. This
problem was corrected in Works version 4.0b.
