SYMPTOMS
========

During the initial Automap Road Atlas for MS-DOS installation, the
INSTALL.EXE program may select or detect an incorrect video card for
the Tandy 1000 computer. The default installation may select the IBM
CGA MONO 2, which is usually an incorrect selection. (In some cases, the
IBM CGA MONO 2 setting may not be an incorrect setting. It may be the only
setting possible because of the architecture of the Tandy machines.)

When the CGA MONO 2 display selection is used you may experience
keyboard hangs or screen corruption when attempting to run the
Automap Road Atlas program.

RESOLUTION
==========

To correct this problem, run the AMCONF.EXE reconfiguration program
and try the "Don't Know" (without the quotes) video display
selection. The CGA MONO video driver will be used and the application
will run in a monochrome format.

Steps to Change Video Selection
-------------------------------

1. From within the Automap Road Atlas for MS-DOS subdirectory, type

   AMCONF

and press the Enter key.

2. Press the Alt key to activate the Menu selections. Press the G
key. The G key will activate the Graphics drop down menu.

3. Scroll down to Don't Know, or press the D key to select the menu item.
