SYMPTOM
=======

When you exit a map in Microsoft Automap Road Atlas for MS-DOS, the video
display may go blank. The problem occurs most often on a VGA monochrome
display when an improper video display setting for your computer has been
selected.

RESOLUTION
==========

To reset the video display to 80 columns type the following at the MS-DOS
command prompt and press ENTER:

   mode 80

For more information about the MODE command, see your Microsoft
MS-DOS manual. Systems running Microsoft MS-DOS 5.0 and later can access
comprehensive information about MS-DOS commands by typing "help" (without
the quotation marks) at the MS-DOS command prompt.

MORE INFORMATION
================

If you have an EGA or VGA display, you can change the size of the
characters on the video display. Road Atlas for MS-DOS was designed
to display the maps at 80 columns. If the computer system was
configured to a resolution other than 80 columns, the map may not
appear, or it may appear corrupted.
