SYMPTOMS
========
 
If you move a Summary task (select it and drag it to a new location) when
its subordinate tasks are collapsed (the are not visible), the unique ID
numbers for the subordinate tasks are changed.
 
RESOLUTION
==========
 
To preserve the unique ID numbers of the subordinate tasks when you move a
summary-level task, always show all of the summary task's subordinate
tasks.
 
STATUS
======
 
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem
and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it
becomes available.
