SYMPTOMS
========

In Microsoft Project, if you create a publisher from a field name on
a table in your project, when you drag the field name to a new
location, the publisher is not moved to the new location.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior occurs because when you create a publisher in a table
view of your project, the publisher is attached to the selected task
or resource, even if you create the publisher using a single field in
the task or resource, such as the Task Name field. In this case,
however, the published edition consists of only the text in the
field, not the entire task or resource.

The publisher is moved if you move the entire task or resource, but it is
not moved if you move just the field name from which you created the
publisher.

WORKAROUNDS
===========

To work around this problem, use any of the following methods.

Method 1: To move a publisher that is created from a single field, move the
          entire task or resource to the new location.

Method 2: If you do not want to move the entire task or resource, move the
          single field, and then create the publisher again from the field
          in the new location.

MORE INFORMATION
================

Note that this same behavior occurs when you use the Cut or Copy
command with the Paste command to move a single field that contains a
publisher to a new location on the table in your project. That is,
the publisher remains with the original task or resource. However,
when you Copy an entire task or resource that contains a publisher to
a new location on your table, the publisher is not moved. When you
Cut an entire task or resource that contains a publisher, the
publisher is deleted. This same Cut/Copy behavior also occurs in
Microsoft Project version 3.0.
