SYMPTOMS
========

In Microsoft Project, when you assign a resource to a task, and you
enter a value in the % Complete field for the task, the value in the
Cost field for the task may change, and it may be rounded incorrectly.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior occurs when you add a resource with a standard rate
that is not an integer value, such as $7.50, if the duration of the
task is greater than 1 day. In this case, when you enter a value in
the % Complete field, the cost may be rounded incorrectly, causing
the value in the Cost field to change by $.01, for example from $420
to $420.01. Note that this behavior does not occur with every value
that you enter in the % Complete field, and generally does NOT occur
with multiples of 10, such as 20%, 30%, and so on.
